Album Review: 'Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray' Seether

Hey y'all!
Alright so as my first official review i decided to do the new Seether album, Holding onto Strings Better Left to Fray. i know, i know, im a few months late on it.. but i just got the album the other day so i wouldnt have been able to write the review until now..
so first things first: amazing album, Seether never disappoints! i am definitely satisfied with the album as a whole, absolutely worth the money. i got mine for sixteen bucks at newbury comics and i am here to tell you it was money well spent. there is such a great mix of up beat songs and ballads with, of course, great lyrics.
one of the greatest things about Seether as a band is the lyrics.. they are always so diverse. to accompany the always amazing lyrics comes in the great beats in every Seether song known to man. the instrumentals on this album are, in my opinion, the best of any other of the Seether albums. not to mention singer Shaun Morgan's, voice. pretty amazing i must say.
although i could continue to ramble on and on for hours about how much i truly enjoy this album i do have one con.. although i must say, not something i would personally. this one little aspect of the album is actually something my dad (also a huge Seether fan) noticed and brought up to me.. most of the songs, if not all, seem to follow the same basic layout. a quiet introduction followed by the 'louder' instrumentals and finally the lyrics. this, to me, is not something i would necessarily change about the album, or the bands style.
with all of this being said, i would absolutely recommend this album (along with all the other Seether albums) to anyone. rocker or non-rocker. my favorite song on the album? roses.
and by the way- random observation.. if you look quickly i think Shaun kind of looks like Johnny Depp. Very sexy Shaun, very sexy. the scruff and long hair are definitely working.. dont ever change (: (even into Justin Bieber)
thanks for reading!
and always remember to light it on up and pass it around..
miss colleen teagan (:
